Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner partners with business leaders to deliver the organisation's People Strategy and provide strategic and operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle. The role acts as a trusted advisor to managers, supporting workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, organisational development and performance management. Working closely with the Senior HR Director, the HR Business Partner also contributes to global HR initiatives while ensuring local compliance and effective people practices within Germany.

Strategic Business Partnering
  • Partner with business leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into effective people strategies. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing coaching and guidance on organisational and people-related decisions. 
  • Use workforce data and insights to support business planning and decision-making. 
Workforce Planning & Organisation Development
  • Support workforce planning, organisational design and capability development aligned to business needs. 
  • Partner with leaders to build effective teams, improve organisational effectiveness and support change initiatives. 
  • Contribute to job architecture, career pathways and internal mobility programmes. 
Talent, Performance & Development
  • Partner with leaders to attract, develop and retain talent through effective recruitment, succession planning and development initiatives. 
  • Coach managers through performance management, goal setting, feedback and performance improvement processes. 
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability and high performance. 
Employee Relations & HR Advisory
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent and compliant employment practices. 
  • Support investigations, disciplinary processes and complex people matters. 
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and the overall employee experience. 
Reward, Governance & HR Operations
  • Support compensation, benefits and reward activities, including benchmarking and salary review processes. 
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, HR policies and governance requirements. 
  • Maintain accurate reporting and provide HR insights to support business decisions. 
Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Lead and support HR projects aligned with strategic priorities. 
  • Drive process improvements, simplify HR practices and support the implementation of HR technology. 
  • Champion continuous improvement to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HR services. 

Your Job Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR qualification (CIPD, SHRM or equivalent) desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR Generalist role.
  • Experience supporting leaders in manufacturing, engineering or technical environments preferred.
  • Experience working within German employment legislation and Works Council environments is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working within a global, matrix organisation.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Employee Relations and performance management expertise.
  • Workforce planning and organisational design.
  • Talent management and succession planning.
  • HRIS experience (Personio or similar desirable).
  • HR analytics and reporting.
  • Project management and continuous improvement.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Fluent German and Englisch
